I personally find thesaurus.com a lifesaver for posts. It stops me repeating the same word all the time. Using 'said' over and over again gets tedious.
To save time, I've listed a few alternatives to some commonly used words.
eyes
orbs. occulars. optics. peepers. viewers.
mouth/lips
kisser. delta. chops. firth. jaws. orifice.
speech
gasped. purred. uttered. said. whispered. muttered. shouted. yelled. cried. expressed. addressed.
to see
looked. gazed. peeked. watched. surveyed. noticed. saw. regarded. inspected. admired. observed.
These are just a few to start you off. Let's have some imagination, people!
